Here is a good review of the 2011 Chevy Volt. This review is interesting because the driver was testing the vehicle's performance when the batteries ran out. The review is quite good, and it looks like the Chevy Volt could be promising even in cold weather climates.

It has been a little over a month since 7Sigma switched from the iPhone to the Motorola Droid. After a month of having the Droid, I have lost count of how many people have asked me how I like it. My standard reply has been simply, "I love it!". It is clear to most that it is a cool device with many powerful applications, but I like it for more reasons than that. The thing I like the most about Android is that it is open sourced. As a developer, I really like the fact that I can easily develop and distribute an application for the Android platform. I also think that the Android operating system has come along way in the last year. This should not shock people who are familiar with the rapid progress that is common among many open source projects. It was only 3 years ago when I installed Ubuntu ( Edgy Eft ) on my machine. I was impressed with back then, and I think it is really amazing how much progress Ubuntu and other Linux applications have made in such a short amount of time. Android is still a little rough around the edges, and perhaps needs more polish before it will be a platform that is for everyone. I do think though, that it is a platform that is headed in the right direction, and I am excited to see what 2010 will have in store for this new mobile operating system.

Complaints about Google's lack of support for Nexus One |
According to this article from PC World, http://www.pcworld.com/article/186399/google_faces_deluge_of_nexus_one_complaints.html , there have been quite a few complaints already about Google's lack of support for their newly launched Android phone, the Nexus One.
This issue seems to be caused by Google's new cell phone buying model, one where end users purchase the device directly from Google, as opposed to purchasing it through their mobile carrier. Users are turning to Google for help, and Google has been unable to deliver. Hopefully Google can get their act together before their reputation suffers to much damage.
The Redmond giant also thinks its a bad idea for Google to officially support a device, saying that it will hurt the entire Android platform. The following article talks about how Microsoft feels that because Google has its own officially supported phone, other phone manufacturers will be less likely to invest in creating Android devices of their own.
