WASHINGTON, D.C., September 3 - 7Sigma Systems Inc. was featured in a testimonial during a United States House of Representatives Committee on Small Business hearing discussing the importance of rural broadband in providing reliable internet connections for Americans.
The business's friend and customer, Consolidated Telecommunications Company (CTC) CEO and General Manager Kristi Westbrock, served as a witness at the hearing and highlighted 7Sigma while answering a question about how broadband service technology benefits small businesses.
"[7Sigma] touches millions of end users on our Fiber network....Their 25 employees are in states like Georgia, Indiana, Wisconsin, Texas, Iowa, and all of those employees have to have reliable networks to support [their work]," Westbrock explained.
She went on to add that those employees are able to live and work where they want because of fiber broadband.
In response to Westbrock's testimony, 7Sigma posted a statement on LinkedIn thanking their customer and highlighting the importance of how rural broadband empowers them - and allows them to empower rural broadband providers.
"As Kristi notes, due to reliable rural internet connections, we have the opportunity to recruit awesome team members regardless of where they are in the United States. By extension, we're also able to build the best tools and solutions for both big and small rural ISPs and carriers," the company wrote.
Founded in the late 1990s, 7Sigma has over 20 years of experience supporting internet service providers by developing software that helps them proactively address network issues, as well as solutions related to cybersecurity, DHCP management, and network design.
"Whether helping them protect their network from cyberattacks or proactively addressing issues with ONTs, we are committed to supporting telecom businesses and cooperatives so they can provide reliable and affordable internet connections for all Americans," the company stated.
